The Dabangg Khan, who has been suffering a painful facial nerve disorder now, confirms that action movies require high octane energy and making an excuse to avoid action sequences is not the proper way that an actor should behave while the course of shoot, he says, “I am the Tiger (character’s name in the movie - Ek Tha Tiger), I can’t make excuses like ‘I am unwell, I can’t do it’.”
Lately, Salman went under treatment trigeminal neuralgia in the US.
“I have done all the things like running, beating, falling, jumping from one place to another.... if you are physically fit, you can perhaps do all this. But it takes a lot of toll on your body as you are doing the same thing the whole day,” explaining the difficulties of carving actions for any film. “I am doing a romantic film soon. Action is very tough... One has to get up at odd hours, like early morning, to do action films, work till late night, do action in worst conditions like in hot weather, fighting on rooftops and dirty places. It is difficult,” he informed explaining his further sense of duty.
The 46 year old is happy with the success of his recent release Ek Tha Tiger which raked in more than Rs 33 crore on day one and went onto collect over Rs 100 crore in just five days which is a record in itself, hence also extending his series of film that have earned its way into the 100 crore club. So far his current movie has generated a revenue between Rs 165-175 crore (according to a film trade analyst) for a film whose total budget (marketing involved) came at close to Rs 90 crore.
