 benchmark index for the Indian equities markets on Thursday closed in green.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 16,6855.60 points closed at 17,032.56 points, up by 135.92 points or 0.80 percent.

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index for the Indian equities markets on Thursday closed in green.The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 16,6855.60 points closed at 17,032.56 points, up by 135.92 points or 0.80 percent.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) closed at 5,165.00 points, up by 44.45 points or 0.87 percent.
The BSE midcap index closed 0.81 percent up and BSE smallcap index was 0.76 percent up.
