Sensex bounces in initial trade, up 27.60 pts

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index for the Indian equities markets on Thursday was trading up in the morning session.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 19,500.86 points was trading at 19,445.06 points, up by 27.60 points or 0.14 percent from previous closure at 9:56 am.

The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading at 5,930.20 up by 24.60 points or 0.42 percent.

The BSE midcap index was trading at 0.36 percent up while the BSE smallcap index was 0.09 percent higher.
