Sensex climbs in morning trade, up 113.33 pts

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index for the Indian equities markets on Friday was up in the morning trade.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 16,701.28 points was at 16,791.21 points, up by 113.33 points or 0.68 percent at 9.21 am.

The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading at 5,069.55 points, up by 14.80 points or 0.29 percent.

The BSE midcap index was trading 0.62 percent up while the BSE smallcap index was 0.37 percent higher.
