Sensex closes in red | Down 17 points

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index for the Indian equities markets closed in red on Friday.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 17,546.04 points closed at 17,521.12 points, down by 17.55 points or 0.10 percent.

The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) closed at 5,316.95 points, down by 10.35 points or 0.19 percent.

The BSE midcap and smallcap index were down by 0.21 percent and 0.56 percent respectively.

Cipla ruling at 327.95 points up 3.50 points
MNM ruling at 731.10 points up 8.35 points
TCS ruling at 1246.20 points up by 5.85 points
ICICI Bank ruling at 935.20 points up by 14.30 points
HDFC ruling at 683.65 points up 8.60 points

Top Losers:

Bajaj Auto ruling at 1539.55 points down by 15.75 points
INFY ruling at 2443.85 points down by 36.35 points
Hero Motocorp ruling at 2084.65 points down by 36.95 points
Maruti ruling at 1216.70 points down by 24.00 points
