Sensex down by 90 points at close
 benchmark index for the Indian equities markets on Monday closed in red.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 17,038.77 points closed at 16,882.16 points, down by 90.35 points or 0.53 percent.

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index for the Indian equities markets on Monday closed in red.The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 17,038.77 points closed at 16,882.16 points, down by 90.35 points or 0.53 percent.
The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) closed at 5,114.65 points, down by 31.40 points or 0.61 percent.
The BSE midcap index closed 0.03 percent down while BSE smallcap index was 0.61 percent up.
