Sensex slips in morning | Down 62.11 pts

Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) benchmark index for the Indian equities markets on Friday was trading on a negative note in the morning trade.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the BSE which opened at 17,557.62 points was ruling at 17,479.53 down by 62.11 points or 0.35 percent at 9:22 am.

The 50-scrip S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading at 5,298.20 points down by 16.85 points or 0.32 percent.

The BSE midcap index was trading up by 0.05 percent while BSE smallcap index was up by 0.08 percent.
