Shahid pays a homage to Shammi Kapoor through Teri Meri Kahaani

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor pays homage to late actor Shammi Kapoor through his upcoming flick Teri Meri Kahaani. The actor reportedly praises the late Shammi calling him a style icon for a lot of youngsters even today.
Teri Meri Kahaani will have Shahid and Priyanka Chopra romancing each other in three different periods. According to reports, it is for the story based in the 60's that Shahid dons the hat of Shammi Kapoor.
Reports say that for the track set in the 60s, Kunal (director Kunal Kohli) gave Shahid a video compilation of his films and songs to pick up nuances.
He had paid homage to the actor at the Zee Awards along with actor Ranbir Kapoor. Teri Meri Kahaani is set in three different eras -60s, 90s and 2012. Designer Manish Malhotra and Kunal Rawal will drape both the actors in era specific clothes.
The Director said that for Priyanka they made a compilation video of Mumtaz and Saira Banu so that "she could pick up nuances of how they walked and dressed."
