Shahrukh Khan: A king of romance at 473 years ago
Mumbai: Though he has entered his 47th year today but he is still the heartthrob of millions, here, we talk of Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan.
From his TV serial Fauji to silver screen, SRK’s acting skills have always been par excellence. He has acted in over 70 films in genres ranging from romantic dramas to action thrillers and most of which have been the biggest grossers of their time. King Khan received numerous achievements including fourteen Filmfare Awards from thirty nominations.
His eighth Filmfare Best Actor Award made him most awarded Bollywood actor of all time in that category, tied only with veteran star Dilip Kumar. He was also honoured with Padma Shri by Indian government in 2005.
He essayed memorable roles in Baazigar, Darr, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Yes Boss and Dil To Pagal Hai. Mohabbatein, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Pardes, Devdas, Chak De India, Paheli, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Veer-Zara and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, among others.
Shahrukh’s role as a Nasa scientist in Swades, a modern day Don and a differently-abled character in My Name Is Khan made him one of the versatile actors of the tinsel town.
King Khan made his comeback on small screen in 2007 by hosting popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. He also hosted Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout and Kya Aap Panchvi Pass Se Tez Hain. He is an owner of IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders and has a film production company Red Chillies Entertainment, therefore completing the angle of being a businessman.
He married Gauri Chibber (Khan) on October 25, 1991 and have two children son Aryan and daughter Suhana.
At present SRK is working in Yas Chopra’s last directed movie Jab Tak Hain Jaan, which is expected to release on November 13.
