Mumbai: Bollywood highest selling actor Shahrukh Khan and the most successful director teaming up together for their forthcoming project Chennai Express have already fetched Rs 105 crore. Might sound strange but this is true and can be a future trend of forthcoming films.

There were times when people used to wait and watch the film script a success story. Then the time came when people saw emergence of Rs 100 club in just few weeks’ releases and now the latest trend that is going to hit Bollywood will be celebrating its releases success much before it reaches floor.

Shahrukh and Rohit teaming up together has helped them to sell it to a film corporation for satellite, home video, and music rights for a whopping amount of over a billion. The film’s overseas and theatrical rights have been retained by Shahrukh and UTV. The movie shoot will begin in October.

It was due to Shahrukh Khan, who is a brand in himself and Rohit’s successful track record. Coming together of these two ensure certainty of quality work and its acceptability in their fans across the world.

The movie Chennai Express is a romantic entertainer followed by Rohit Shetty touch of action. The movie plot revolves around a man’s journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and the incidents which take place during his course. The female lead for the project has not been finalized but chances are high that out of Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, one will be finalized.
