For SRK, it all started by being the Fauji - commando Abhimanyu Rai in a television series, from which he became a household name and gained recognition.
Mentioning his film One 2 Ka 4 will not be right here but we then can’t even deny it as we are solely distinguishing his movies where he did the role of an officer (therefore keeping police roles off the hook).
Then in 2004, two of his films released - Main Hoon Na and Veer-Zaara. In Main Hoon Na, he essayed an armyman who goes undercover for triple endeavour (Project Milaap, protection of senior’s daughter and to find his family), at command of the same senior officer. On the other hand Veer-Zaara turned out to be a cross border love, where Shahrukh (an air-force officer) proved his chemistry with a Pakistani girl, played by Preity Zinta, but sacrificing it all for nation. Both these flicks gave proved to be the next level in scrutinizing his image as the “romantic” Khan.

Now, he seeks to rekindle that image afresh and bank upon his connect with the camouflaged uniform as officer Samar, with the upcoming untitled film from YRF’s treasure which is delicately fashioned by veteran director Yash Chopra, who is making his comeback after 7 years. Another USP of this film being Katrina Kaif, as one of the female leads in it; Anushka Sharma too enriches film’s starcast.
