Sohail Khan's car mows down old woman to death

Mumbai: A 70 year old woman was crushed to death on Sunday by Bollywood actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan's Land Cruiser car in Bandra.

As per the reports, when the accident occurred, Khan's driver Dhananjay Pimpale was driving the car. He was detained by the police and was made to undergo an alcohol test that turned out to be negative.

Dhananjay has been booked on charges of rash driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder. He would be produced in court later today.

Reports reveal that the victim Chandra Bala was mowed down by Sohail's car (registration number 'MH 06 W 540) near St Andrews Church in Bandra at around 12-1 am.

According to the sources, the car moved down over the woman's body but did not stop. Bala was rushed to Bhabha Hospital by a constable in a critical condition soon after the accident.

Sources also reveal that Sohail was present inside the car and was also driving but police have denied the reports.

Bala is said to have been a homeless woman.
