Sonakshi Sinha celebrates 25th birthday today

Mumbai: Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha must be a proud father as daughter Sonakshi has done a remarkable work in her acting career with more than eleven awards in her kitty in just one year. The actress born on June 2 turns 25 today. She made a Bollywood debut through 2010 hit Dabangg starring Salman Khan. Her character Rajjo Pandey was admired by everyone and the film bagged a number of awards. Sonakshi has two brothers and she is the eldest amongst her siblings.
Initially, she was a professional fashion designer and designed costumes for the film Mera Dil Leke Dekho (2005). The Dabangg girl started her modeling career in 2008; it was her first time when she walked the ramp in Lakme Fashion Week. She was obviously inclined towards acting but Dabangg came to her by chance. Salman offered her this film when she caught his eyes during a performance.
Before Dabangg came to her, Sonakshi was plump and she shed a whole lot of 30 kg to fit into the character she was supposed to play.
She was also criticized by many in the beginning, but she proved her might through her acting skills. The actress won a number of awards in no time. She won Dadasaheb Phalke Awards for Best Debutant Actor Female, Star Screen Awards for most promising newcomer, Stardust Award for superstar of tomorrow, Apsara Films and Television Producers Guild Award for best female debut, Filmfare Award for best female debut and the list goes on.
Sonakshi can also be called a trend setter as her curvy body has become a style statement for many. She is hands full of projects in near future. Rowdy Rathore released a day before and she has a list of upcoming projects namely, Joker, Lootera, Son Of Sardar, Dabangg 2, Once Upon A Time Again and Judwaa 2.
It is pretty evident that fame comes with a cost and the actress had to deal with several controversies too. She was allegedly linked with her mentor Salman Khan and actor Ranveer Singh. But it was very wise of her that she dealt with all of those issues very smartly.
Sonakshi has everything what it takes to be a star. We wish her a happy birthday and all the best for her future.
