Sourav Ganguly - The Movie is just an ad campaign

Kolkata: With a waning cricket career and the recent drumming in the ongoing IPL, news about Sourav Ganguly changing his career track is rife. Buzz is that he is starring in a film titled Ganguly - The Movie.
However, reports say that Sourav Ganguly is not acting in any film and the trailer gone viral is of an ad campaign given a Bollywood look.
According to reports, a health insurance company has made Sourav their brand ambassador for three years. The company says that the ad was intentionally given a filmy makeover because the cricketer's life is no different from any movie.
The trailer is hot on YouTube and has already garnered over 2,95,000 hits.
In its description the video reads: "Destiny had a role to play. But with Sourav Ganguly around, it could never take the lead. With his exuberance, passion and never say die attitude, he has always come off in flying colors, despite all odds. Like a hero of any Bollywood movie, Sourav Ganguly has gone through many turmoils and has emerged as a winner in the end."
The video launched on May 7 is 3.07 minutes long and has been presented in a Rowdy Rathore way. Lines like "introducing the man who needs no introduction" and bold colourful fonts add to its style.
