New Delhi: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) final results 2012 are out now and can be checked on commission's official website: www.ssc.nic.in
CGL is a three tier examination compromising preliminary test, mains and interview. For 2012 recruitment, tier I examination was held on July 1 and 8, 2012. Those who qualified for tier II, again sat for a written test on September 4, 2012.
The results for CGL 2012-2013 including interview, non-interview posts for Tax Assistants, Statistical Investigators/Compiler have been declared.
The SSC is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training and comprised of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations who are appointed under the terms and conditions prescribed the Central Government.
The main duties that the commission has to follow is recruit all Group "B" posts in the various Ministries/Departments of the Govt. of India and their Attached and Subordinate Offices. It also arranges for staff for all non-technical Group "C" posts in the various Ministries/Departments of the Govt. of India and their Attached and Subordinate Offices, except those posts which are specifically exempt from the purview of the Staff Selection Commission.
It also conducts examinations and/or interviews, whenever required for recruitment to the posts within its purview.
