Delhi students get extended summer vacations

New Delhi: Giving a little respite to the Delhi students, on Sunday, the Delhi government directed all its schools to extend summer vacation by a week in view of the scorching heat.

The schools were to reopen on Monday but will now open on July 9. Temperatures have been very high this summer season and there is no sign of relief from monsoonal clouds as they continue to play hide and seek.

Directions have been issued by Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely to all government schools to remain shut till July 8.
