Ten dead in separate incidents in Pakistan3 years ago
Islamabad: Seven people were killed and around 80 others were injured in a head-on collision between two buses on a highway in Pakistan’s Punjab province. While three people were killed and over 20 injured when militants blew up a rail track in Pakistan’s Jacobabad city causing derailment of a passenger train, both the incidents occurring early on Wednesday.
The accident took place around 12:30 am in Dera Ghazi Khan district. The two buses hit each other on the Indus Highway near Kara area of Dera Ghazi Khan. One bus was heading for Karachi, while the other was heading for Rawalpindi, and then for Peshawar. The cause of the accident was not known.
Rail Track Blast
The incident took place around 12:45 am. The train heading for Karachi from Peshawar got derailed after the track was blown up near Jacobabad in Sindh province in which two compartments of the train were derailed, said railway officials.
