Los Angeles: Actor Tom Cruise (50) and Katie Holmes (33) have decided to end their five-year-old marriage. The actress' attorney, Jonathan Wolfe, confirmed the breakup and informed that Katie filed a divorce petition anonymously in Manhattan on ThursdayOn Friday, Jonathan told to a popular magazine, "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest." Where as on the other hand, Amanda Lundberg, Cruise's spokeswoman said, "Kate has filed for divorce, and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children."
The two tied the knot in Italy in November, 2006. While this was the first marriage for Holmes, Cruise has been married twice before, to actress Mimi Rogers and actress Nicole Kidman and reportedly also had a 3 year fling with actress Penelope Cruz.
The couple have a six-year-old daughter Suri Cruise together.
