New Delhi: The UP Secondary Education Board has made an important announcement on Wednesday for the students to be prepared for the board examinations 2014. As per the schedule, exams for High School (class 10) and Intermediate (class 12) will begin on 3 March, 2014. The High School exams will end on 21 March, 2014 and the Intermediate exams will end on 4 April 2014.
As always, exams will take place in two shifts, the first to begin at 7:30 am and end at 10:45 pm while the second shift will begin at 2:00 pm and end at 5:15 pm.
Board officials also made a minor change in the marking system of practical exams, which would take place between 10th January and 10th February, 2014. So far, practical exam worth 30 marks was totally external and students had to face an examiner from outside their institution who assessed them against a practical subject. But from this year, the exam would be divided into two parts, external and internal, each comprising 15 marks. Students would be evaluated internally by their own teachers.
