Bangalore: The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) civil services examination results declared on May 3 and out of 910 candidates, 85 were from Karnataka, who cracked the country’s most prestigious examination.The successful candidates talk mainly about one mantra to clear the examination and that is patience and consistent hard work.

Rakesh Kumar K
Nitesh Patil
B Fouzia Taranum
The number of vacancies in IAS (Indian Administrative Services) cadre is 170
IFS (Indian Foreign Services) is 40
IPS (Indian Police Services) is 150.
The central services group ‘A’ has 543 and group ‘B’ has 98 seats, including 33 physically challenged candidates.
