Uttar Pradesh: New law to exploit traders and upset commoners

Lucknow: In a new development of rules and regulations, Akhilesh Yadav headed SP (Samajwadi Party) government has given a nod over a decision that the doors to the malls will be closed by 7pm and restaurants and food joints can only remain open up till 10pm. The instructions have been provided by the State Department of Labor. Labor Minister, Dr Waqar Ahmed has given the issuance of order, so that it gets into effect immediately over all districts of the state.

The decision has been taken in order to meet the electricity demands. The state has been facing electricity problem from the past few days. Apart from the chemist shops, every other shop and malls will get open at 11am and will be closed at 7pm. This order will be in effect for the next 15 days.

However, the major problem will be faced by the working class (whether in government or private job), who get back home till 7 o’clock, post which they work on their homely duties. The response from the public has been criticizing and they have condemned it. Commoners are finding it difficult to cope up with the daily altered laws.

The law conveys that all those malls which will remain open beyond the told time will face police action. This means, addition of police-cruelty over the shop owners and other businessmen. It is unknown that under whose pressure has the government taken the decision but it is clear that government will need to withdraw its decision because it seems that government has no idea that this alteration will bring more harm than help in the lives of state citizens.
