Mumbai: It seems that raunchy actors like Sherlyn Chopra and Veena Malik are following the foot trails of Vidya Balan, who had to essay a number of intimate scenes in order to carve a niche for herself in Bollywood.

Vidya, who is set to tie knot with UTV head honcho Siddhart Roy Kapur never, had it easy establishing self in the tinsel town. She also had to go through a whole lot of thick and thins in order to achieve a stable platform and that too without a Godfather in B-town.

Call it the demands of script or mere tactics to get recognition, Miss Balan did give number of sultry performances in her films be it Ishqiya or The Dirty Picture. Vidya got up close and personal with Akshay Kumar, Tusshar Kapoor, John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi and veteran actor Naseeruddin Shan

This obviously heaped her with a lot of nasty, obscene comments from viewers. However, applauds from her fans and appreciation from critics took the actor's career to heights.
