She said, "We still haven't started working on this film yet...hoping to start in August. It is my first comedy film so I am very nervous. I would not like to talk about my character in the film."
Ghanchakkar is a typical comedy film, where Emraan Hashmi plays a fraud and has a very refined taste. Vidya plays his wife who is very ambitious and has her own way of looking at things.
The story is about how Emraan gets entangled between two other thugs, one has some typical ailment and the other has a really bad sense of humor. This comic set of characters generates a lot of confusion and ends in funny situations.
The Dirty Picrure couple Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan will once again be seen together in the movie. The film is directed by Rajkumar Gupta of No One Killed Jessica fame.
Produced by UTV, the film is set to release in August.
Vidya was recently felicitated by Indo-American Association for her contribution to Indian cinema. On the occasion of her felicitation ceremony, Vidya said, "I am thankful to them for felicitating me. It is a very special moment. I am overwhelmed. I feel blessed and honored."
Vidya's father P R Balan said that he was proud of her daughter's acting in The Dirty Picture. He did not find it vulgar and had predicted that the film would be a superhit. For Vidya, nothing matters more than her parents' liking the film.
She said, "I was in between the promotions and when I reached Prithvi theratre they all were crying because I died in the end. My parents have approved of the film and nothing more matters to me."
