Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is in Mandsaur to meet the farmers families who were killed at the time of police firing last week.
Ahead of Shivraj visit, section 144 has been revoked . Farmers have been protesting in Mandsaur since the beginning of this month, demanding loan waivers in addition to the higher remunerative prices for their crops.
The protests turns ugly when the police fired on protesters killing six farmers.
The protesters also resorted to looting in number of districts. According to the Section 144 of the CrPC, which prohibits more than four people from gathering in a place, was imposed in the area alongside curfew.
Few days back, the Madhya Pradesh government also appointed a single-member commission to probe into the police firing case.
