Venkaiah Naidu give full marks to Devendra Fadnavis

Venkaiah Naidu has given full marks to Maharashtra when it comes to making progress in flagship urban infrastructure projects.

Flagship urban infrastructure projects include Prime Minister Awas Yojana and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”

After interacting with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for more than four hours, Naidu was content with the progress of the projects.

Fadnavis on his part requested Naidu to include Slum Redevelopment Authority (SRA) projects under the umbrella of Prime Minister Awas Yojana as this will go a long way in ensuring that Mumbai and Maharashtra become slum free.

In terms of figures, Maharashtra has got Rs 67,523 crore for urban infrastructure, which is maximum amount sanctioned to a state up till now under the urban renewal mission and metro projects.

Maharashtra, which has the highest 50 per cent urban population, keeping pace with the set target is not an easy task.
