Mortal remains of Dhaka Attack victim, Tarishi Jain to be flown down to Delhi today

New Delhi: On Monday, body of the 19-year-old Tarishi Jain would be flown down from Bangladesh to India today. Tarishi was the only Indian to have been brutally killed in the recent Dhaka attack.

Reports are that Tarishi was supposed to fly down to Ferozabad, UP on July 4 to meet her family. Also, it is the same day when her body will be brought to India. Last rites of Tarishi will be held in Gurgaon at 5:30 pm.

The Indian girl was among the many others who were kept hostage for almost 11 hours at the Holey Artisan Bakery and were later killed by the attackers. As per a statement issued by Sushma, Jain was pursuing her studies at the University of California and was on a vacation to Dhaka. Also, her father runs a garment business in Bangladesh for the last 2 decades.

The six attackers killed twenty foreigners, including eight Italians, seven Japanese and an Indian student inside the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka. It was almost after 11 hours that the commandos killed the six attackers.

The responsibility of the attack was claimed by the terror group ISIS. Also, apart from releasing pictures of the hostages’ bodies, they also released pictures of the six attackers.
