AAP MLA Prakash Jarwal booked for misbehaving with woman

New Delhi:  In yet another jolt to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the national capital, the party’s MLA from Deoli faced arrest following charges of misbehaving with a woman on Friday.

As per reports, an FIR has been registered against Prakash Jarwal at the Greater Kailash Police station. The AAP MLA has been booked under sections 354, 506, 509 and 34 of IPC for misbehaving with a woman.

The victim in her statement to a daily said that she first met the LG and the Delhi Police CP before registering her complaint. This is not the first time when Jarwal is in news for all the bad reasons as in May 2014; he was arrested for supposedly beating up a junior engineer of the Jal Board in Delhi.

This comes amid the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s principal secretary Rajendra Kumar on corruption charges. Also Punjab AAP leader Ashish Khetan was booked for hurting religious sentiments of the Sikh community by comparing the AAP Youth Manifesto with Guru Granth Sahib and other religious books.

AAP on the other hand has made claims that these attacks have been launched on them by the BJP.
