AAP MP Bhagwant Mann suspended from Parliament

New Delhi: On Monday, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan formed a nine member committee to investigate into the live streaming video of the Parliament House complex which was put up by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann on his Facebook page.

Also, Mahajan has asked Maan to not to attend the Parliament sessions until a decision in the same has been made. The committee has been asked to submit a report on August 3.

On the other hand, the AAP MP hit on the decision of the Lok Sabha speaker and called it a one-sided judgement.

Maan tendered an apology to the Lok Sabha Speaker for putting the security of the Parliament in danger by posting a video clip of his journey from his home to the Parliament which included his movement via various security check points on the social media.

Later he also removed the video from Facebook.

Assigning a committee and calling for a probe, the Speaker said that it was a matter of concern as the Parliament House was attacked on December 13, 2001 in which 13 security personnel lost their lives.
