Aarushi Murder Case: Rajesh and Nupur Talwar released from Dasna Jail

New Delhi: After four years, dentist couple Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar, finally walked out of the Dasna prison on Monday.

The couple declared innocent of murdering their only child Aarushi Talwar and domestic help Hemraj in 2008.

The Allahabad High Court on Thursday announced that it was giving the Talwar couple benefit of doubt and acquitted them of the double murder case that took place at their home.

According to sources, Nupur’s parents received them outside the prison in Ghaziabad. The couple is expected to visit Sai temple in Noida before going to her parent’s house in Jal Vayu Vihar.

As per reports, their own home in which Aarushi was killed has tenants.

The Talwars’ release delayed because a copy of verdict that acquitted them had not been delivered to prison officials.

Sources say that the couple has offered to visit the prison every fortnight to treat the prison. They helped revive the dental department at the prison hospital and had treated prisoners, police officials and their kids.

A senior jail official said that the dentist couple would have received Rs 49, 500 as fee but they refused to accept the money.
