Adults taking more medicines are at higher risk of dying: Study

A study has warned that the older adults mainly the age of 65, who take more than five medicines, are at the high risk of weaknesses, disabilities and even death. The medicines might hinder the functioning of the body.

In the new study, the researchers examined 482 people who aged 65 years and older than that. The main purpose of the study was to determine how changes to the brain and our central nervous system occur during aging and how they might impact an older person’s ability to walk.

According to the study, the researchers concluded that older adults should be asked about all the medications they take, including herbal and other over-the-counter supplements.
