Ahead of crucial 2017 UP Polls, Apna Dal merges with BJP

New Delhi: Ahead of the upcoming crucial 2017 Assembly Polls in Uttar Pradesh, the independent party Apna Dal has merged with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

This merger is termed as profitable to the BJP in UP polls as Apna Dal has support of the OBC communities of Varanasi-Mirzapur area. With support from Apna Dal, BJP might win in the upcoming polls.

The party was founded by Dr Sone Lal Patel and currently, Apna Dal has 2 MPs in Lok Sabha.

Also, reports are that the Mirzapur MP Anupriya Patel might get a birth in PM Narendra Modi’s cabinet following a reshuffle which will take place tomorrow.
