Increased air pollution not only deteriorates the health but also lessen human lifespan by nine to eleven years, a recent research claimed. On an average, an increase of pollution particles by 10 micro-grams per cubic meter will kill the population 10 years earlier.

According to researchers the average life span of air pollution victim is 78.9 years and they lose more than nine to eleven years of their life because of air pollution. Researchers warned all the global institutions to be cautious about the ill effects of air pollution and they should go through the reports once.

The World Health Organisation states that 16,355 deaths have occurred in UK due to air pollution and 9,500 of these are in the capital.

A major author of the study disclosed the discrepancy and further went on to say that: “It’s not as simple as it seems, but air pollution does kill people, and I do think it’s a fair way of summarizing the mortality effect on the population.”
