Akhilesh Yadav announces Rs 10 lakh, home to minor girls who wrote letter in blood demanding justice

Lucknow: Failing to get any help from the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, two minor girls from the Devipuria locality, wrote a letter in blood to the CM and shared it on the social media, demanding justice for their mother who was set ablaze by their father and other people.

Coming to their rescue, today Akhilesh Yadav announced Rs 10 lakh remuneration to the girls along with a government home. Also, it has promised government job to the girl’s maternal uncle who is currently taking care of the girls.

The letter was written by one 15-year-old and another 11-year-old girl to Akhilesh Yadav on June 14. In the letter they have mentioned that their mother was set on fire by their father for giving birth to two girls.

One of the girl’s, Litika said, “My mother was burned alive in front of my eyes. I have seen her being tortured by my father over the fact that she could not give birth to a boy. I wrote letters to chief minister Akhilesh Yadav but didn’t get any response. I wrote a letter in blood thinking that maybe he will respond to my blood.”

The social media helped the girl bring the matter to limelight and hence helped them getting justice.

As of now, the SP (City) Maan Singh Chauhan that the details regarding the case have been taken down and that the assailants would soon be booked in case of murder.
