Akhilesh Yadav declared as ‘National President’ of Samajwadi Party

Lucknow: A resolution was today passed in Samajwadi Party (SP) to make Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav a ‘National President’ of the party.

While addressing huge party workers at Janeshwar Mishra Park in Lucknow, Professor and senior Samajwadi Party leader, RamGopal Yadav said he along with all the supporters of Akhilesh has demanded to make him as ‘National President’.

A was on Sunday proposed to make Akhilesh Yadav as the new National Working President of the ruling Samajwadi Party at a meeting called by his supporters.

Ramgopal made the declaration amid a roar of approval at the meeting attended by thousands of party activists and many legislators.

He also proposed to the gathering that party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav be the “Marg Darshak” of the Samajwadi Party and announced the expulsion of Amar Singh, a Mulayam confidant.

It was also announced during the meeting that Shivpal Yadav has been removed from the post of Samajwadi Party Uttar Pradesh unit chief.
