Resting all rumours, OnePlus CEO – Pete Lau confirmed that the company is indeed working on its next flagship device aka OnePlus 5T. He also confirmed that they are going to announce the OnePlus 5T very soon. Although Lau didn’t mention the launch timeline as of yet but going by the newly leaked teaser by the company, it won’t be very wrong to say that OnePlus 5T will be launching in the next couple of days.
Meanwhile, OnePlus 5T has been spotted on GFX Bench. The benchmark listing reveals almost all the key specs that the device may come with. The phone – OnePlus 5T appears with a model number A5010 and a 6-inch FHD+ panel with 2160×1080 pixel resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. However, some rumours that leaked earlier suggested that OnePlus 5T may come with the same display as the OnePlus 5. Going by the benchmark listing looks like OnePlus 5T will be an improved version of the OnePlus 5, especially in the camera department.
The GFXBench listing shows that the OnePlus 5T may come with a 20-megapixel sensor on the front, which compared to OnePlus 5 is much better which comes with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. While on the back, the OnePlus 5T, as teased will come with dual cameras. The back camera, as revealed by the benchmark listing may come with two 16-megapixel sensors. On the other hand, going by the latest leak, OnePlus 5T is expected to sport a 16-megapixel sensor paired with a 20-megapixel sensor at the back. Rumours are also that the upcoming OnePlus 5T front and back camera may include some AI tricks to offer consumers portrait mode with bokeh effect.
