Amitabh Thakur provided documents on HC order

Lucknow: In the petition filed by suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur to direct the Vigilance Establishment to provide him the basic documents as regards his vigilance enquiry, he was on Wednesday provided these documents by the State government on the directions of Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court.

Yesterday, the bench of Chief Justice Dr D Y Chandrachud and Justice S N Shukla had said that the matter pertains to an IPS officer and the principle of natural justice warrants that all the necessary allegations and documents be provided to him immediately.

On Wednesday, senior counsel Jaideep Narain Mathur provided copy of the Lokayukta report, FIR and list of immoveable properties alleged to be Thakur’s property by Vigilance establishment documents.

On this the Court disposed off this petition.
