Anil Kapoor served legal notice for endorsing false claims of private construction firm

Mumbai:  Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor seems to have landed into trouble as he has been served a legal notice by the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) for supposedly making false claims of the construction firm.

As per reports, the notice has been issued a notice for appearing in an advertisement of a private construction firm named Ekta World. Talking about the advertisement, Ekta World claimed that it is making flats available in Virar and Nashik at cheaper rates than that of MHADA.

Along with this, MHADA has also issued legal notice to the owner of Ekta World, Ashok Mohanani for mentioning the name of the firm to promote a scheme on false grounds.

Talking on the same, MHADA secretary Bharat Bastewad said, “How can anyone endorse any firm’s claims without confirming whether they are true or false?”

Bharat added, “We have issued a legal notice to Anil Kapoor for endorsing false claims. He should have confirmed with MHADA before endorsing such claims.”
