Assailant throws shoe at Rahul Gandhi during Kisan Yatra

Sitapur: A youth who claimed to be a journalist today thrown shoe at the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi during his political ‘Kisna Yatra’ in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district.

According to police, the attacker identified as Hari Om Mishar, who is a resident of Hargaon has been arrested by the cops.

Although, the shoe did not hit Rahul as it hits another Congress leader Jitin Prasada who was with him at the time of incident.

The Special Protection Group (SPG) men came into action and surrounded the Congress leader after the shoe attack.

The assailant told media persons that he did this act because of he was angry with Rahul because of the promises made by him in his earlier road shows.

Rahul started his political yatra on Monday after a break of two days.
