Big B remembers Smita Patil as special lady of life

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan matched steps to “Ke pag ghoongroo” along with Smita Patil and mentioned that she was a special lady.

Big-B remembered the late actress with whom he has worked on-screen in movies like “Namak Halal” and “Shakti” on her 61st birthday.

The actress received two National Films Awards and was also honoured by Padma Shri in 1985, she was also known as the superbly talented actress of her time.

Smita also made her appearances in over 80 Hindi and Marathi films during her career in the film industry.

She was married to actor-politician Raj Babbar and her work includes movies like “Bhumika”, “Aakrosh”, “Manthan”, “Chakra”, “Mirch Masala” and “Chidambaram”.

The actress later died at the age of 31 due to childbirth complications in December 1986.
