The BSEB Class 10 results have considerably been delayed due to some students’ failure to take physical verification test conducted by the Board. These students numbering 40 were the toppers were required for physical verification and review of their exam copies.
Sources also hint at the Board’s plans to give grace marks so that the overall passing percentage may improve by 10-20%. The average passing percentage in 2016 stood at 44.6. The Board has received an official permission from the State Government to grant 8 grace marks.
A student who fails in one subject will be given 8 marks as grace and a student failing in two subjects will be given 4 grace marks in each. Grace marks if given will improve the overall passing percentage to 50-60 from the previous year’s 44.6.
