Born on 7 July 1981 in Ranchi, Dhoni lived his early days in poverty and the day he made his presence felt in the cricketing arena he conquered success and has not looked back since then.

Dhoni is the only captain to bag all three ICC trophies – 2007 World T20, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. He is one of the most successful captains this nation ever had with 27 test wins.

Dhoni bagged most wins across all the formats as a captain for India. He tops the list of scoring most Test runs as a Captain, he has scored 3,454 runs in 60 test matches. He is the most successful Indian wicket-keeper both in ODIs and Test matches. In Test, his dismissals amount up to 294, which consist of 256 catches and 38 stumpings.
