BJP appoints Dayashankar wife Swati Singh as president of UP women wing

Lucknow: The former expelled Uttar Pradesh Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) vice president Dayashankar Singh wife Swati Singh was appointed as the president of UP BJP’s women wing today.

With this appointment of Swati Singh it is expected that the political temperature of UP is going to be soar for sure.

Her husband Dayashankar Singh was expelled from the BJP for derogatory remarks against Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) chief Mayawati earlier this year.

In his remarks on Mayawati, Dayashankar was quoted saying, “Mayawati gives tickets for Rs one crore and if there is someone who can give Rs 2 crore than she sells it for Rs 2 crore within an hour. If someone is ready to give Rs 3 crore by the evening, she gives the ticket to him. She is even worse than…”

The former BJP MLA was arrested on July 29 from Bihar’s Buxar town after remaining absconding for about 10 days.
