BJP-PDP illegally settling, sheltering Rohingyas, Bangladeshis in Jammu: Harsh Dev Singh

Jammu: Flaying the delay and deny tactics of the govt to evict Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Dogra soil, an of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party leader Harsh Dev Singh today said that the so called GoM constituted by the State government for the purpose of deportation of the foreign immigrants to their respective countries had proved an ‘eye wash’.

Addressing the press conference in Jammu he stated that the recent incidents of purchase of immovable property in and around Jammu and Samba Districts besides encroachment of state lands by them had posed a demographic threat to Jammu Pradesh with people up in arms against the hypocrisy of BJP-PDP leaders.

Raising question mark on the credibility and the intentions of the coalition government, Harsh Dev Singh regretted that ever since the GoM was constituted to curb the soaring population of Rohingyas in and around Jammu city and devise a strategy for their eviction, no concrete action had been taken until now by the aforesaid group which was set up on the directives of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

“The much hyped group of four cabinet Ministers headed by Dy CM Nirmal Singh had only proved a mere window dressing to befool the people at large. It seemed that its constitution by the sinister alliance had a motive behind to quell the public uprising against the unlawful settlement of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Duggar land”, Harsh said.

He further mentioned that the Centre too in the recent past had admitted that Rohingyas posed a gave security challenges as they could be recruited by the terror groups and their unchecked influx had burdened the limited resources of the country.

Dev Singh added that despite reservations voiced from several quarters that their settlement could lead to demographic change of Jammu region, the GoM had failed to submit its report to the State government till now for any stringent action against the foreigners which only indicated a conspiracy to shelter and settle them in Jammu.

Referring to the latest communication of Union Home Ministry to all States, Harsh Dev Singh said that the Centre had now directed the State Government to set up a task force at district level to identify and deport illegally staying foreign immigrants. He said that once again the directives from GoI had failed to elicit any response from the sinister BJP-PDP combine and no minister had issued any statement until now over the matter of serious concern.

“Ethnic cleansing in Kashmir on communal lines, attempts to change the nomenclature of Hindu shrines and places, imposition of Kashmiri language on Jammu people and over and above the unlawful settlement of immigrants in the city of temples was undoubtedly manipulative with serious portends. The criminal silence of the alliance and BJP in particular over the illegal settlement of foreign nationals vindicated the dangerous intentions of the dispensation to reduce Dogras to minority”, Harsh added.

He also clarified that the BJP both at the Centre and in the State were passing the buck on each other to draw media attention and befool the people. He warned the Saffron brigade to take serious cognizance of soaring menace of Rohingyas in the Jammu region and stop playing with the fire before it was too late. He said that since these foreign nationals had already been identified in Jammu city and its adjacent peripheries, GoI must act promptly to simply deport them to their native countries without any further delay. He said that Panthers party shall not relent unless Jammu region was liberated from the ‘ticking time bombs’ who were knee deep into all kinds of crimes and vices.
