BJP Punjab President Vijay Sampla denies his resignation reports

New Delhi: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab unit president and Cabinet minister Vijay Sampla today denied report of his resignation from the party and said that such rumors are going to spoil his image, so he made appeal from public to kindly avoid any such gossips.

Earlier, there were reports that he is disappointed over the distribution of tickets by the BJP for the upcoming Punjab Assembly polls, Sampla has offered his resignation from the posts he is holding at present.

This move by the Punjab BJP President came subsequent to the six more names that were released by the Bharatiya Janata Party for the Punjab assembly elections.

As per the information given by the sources, Sampla is not satisfied with the BJP’s choice to field Som Prakash from the Fagwara constituency. Instead, sources say that Sampla was looking for a a candidate of his choice to contest for the Fagwara constituency seat.

Punjab BJP President made it clear that he is all set to resign if the BJP top leaders do not amend their decision. Sampla has sent his resignation to BJP national president Amit Shah and is expected to meet him soon.

For BJP, this move can be a worrying factor keeping in mind that Sidhu has recently joined hands with the Congress, while on the other hand Aam Aadmi Party is also making all efforts to outclass BJP and Badal’s in Punjab.
