Breakup song in ADHM is all about women empowerment: Karan Johar

Mumbai: The breakup song in “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” is creating a buzz in the youngsters and sending out a positive message to today’s youth that a breakup doesn’t always mean an end of your life on a sad side.

Filmmaker Karan Johar stated that the song is all about women empowerment. The song portrays Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor celebrating a breakup and partying after a breakup is not normal these days but this song has put forth a different meaning of breakup altogether and shows that how easy it is to move on after a breakup.

Karan Johar further went on to say that “‘The breakup song’ is all about women empowerment. Breaking up should be as quick and easy as falling in love”. With Pritam’s music, eccentric party dance number is sung by Arijit Singh, Badshah, Jonita Gandhi and Nakash Aziz.

Amidst the hubbub over the release of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, Karan Johar is excited about the film and has not given any statement about the story of the movie.

Directed by Dharma Productions the movie includes Ranbir, Anushka and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, apart from Fawad. The film will hit the theaters on October 28th.
