BSP to ride home to power, says Mayawati

Lucknow: The national President of Bahujan Samaj Party, Mayawati here on Sunday cast vote in Lucknow and firmly claimed that the odds will be in the favor of Bahujan Samaj Party. She walked in the polling booth number 251 around 9 a.m. at the Mall Avenue polling station.

While talking to the media, the four times Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and the present President of BSP Mayawati declared victory in favor of BSP and stated that her party was leading with the highest number of votes in the two rounds of balloting so far.

Being confident about her party’s victory, she went on to say that: “The ‘hawa-hawai’ claims of the Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party will fall flat on their faces and we will romp home to power.”

Mayawati also emphasized on the large number of people who marked their presence at her election rallies had made it clear that she would be voted to power this time. Later she flashed a “V” sign and posed for pictures with her voter card.
