Bulanshahr Gang-Rape victim moves to SC, seeks FIR against Azam Khan

Bulandshahr (UP): The Bulandshar Gang-Rape victims, a 13-year-old girl and her mother, moved to the apex court demanding an FIR against Samajwadi Party’s firebrand leader Azam Khan. Along with this, she sought action and FIR against those police officers who initially did not register the family’s complaint.

Talking about the gang-rape, Urban Development Minister Mohd Azam Khan had said that the incident was a political conspiracy and that it should be investigated. This shameful remark brought the leader criticism not only from the family members of the victim but also from the opposition political parties.

The victims now want the case to be transferred to Delhi.

On July 29, the Allahabad High Court ordered a CBI probe in the incident and also asked CM Akhilesh Yadav government to submit a report within 2 days.

The heinous incident which took place last month when a family heading to Shahjahanpur was waylaid by a group who not only looted them but also raped the woman and her daughter.
