Case registered against Vishal Dadlani, Tehseen Poonawalla for mocking Jain religious leader in tweet

Mumbai: Singer Vishal Dadlani and Tehseen Poonawalla have landed into trouble as an FIR has been registered against them for their controversial tweet on Digambar Jain Guru Tarun Sagar’s speech in the Haryana Assembly, naked.

As per reports, a complaint was registered by member of an organisation named Jain Life at the Shahadra Police Station in the national capital.

On Saturday, Dadlani in his tweet made fun of Tarun Sagar’s nakes address in the Haryana Assembly in his tweet. On the other hand, Poonawalla also mocked Sagar in his tweet as he wrote, “Why is this ‘naked’ man ‘holy’ even if he walks ‘nude’ in the state assembly while a woman would be termed slut.”

This tweet by Vishal and Poonawalla brought them enough criticism from the Twitterattis and also from the various followers of the Jain community. Following this, Dadlani quickly in his tweets made an apology to Taran Sagar and also to the entire Jain community.

He wrote, “I’m sorry to have offended you and your beliefs too, Sir. My intent was not to hurt anyone. Spoke without thinking.”

Later, he even made an announcement of him leaving the Aam Aadmi Party for his offensive tweet on the Jain Community.
