Congress chief Sonia Gandhi fractures arm, still in ICU

New Delhi: On Wednesday, Congress President Sonia Gandhi who was shifted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital from Army’s Research and Referral Hospital has fractured her arm too.

As per reports of a leading daily, Sonia Gandhi fractured her arm accidentally at the time when she collapsed during her road show in Varanasi. The 69-year-old is currently in the ICU and will not be discharged this week.

On Wednesday, Chairman of the hospital Dr D S Rana said, “Mrs Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital today at 1:30 pm under the care of Dr Arup Basu and his team from Department of Pulmonology. She is dehydrated but is presently stable and her further investigations are being conducted. She is advised rest.”

The Congress chief returned to the national capital by a chartered flight in the midnight. Also, she had to leave the road show in between due to illness. As soon as Sonia Gandhi landed in Delhi, she was taken to the RR Hospital.
