Congress chief Sonia Gandhi recuperating post shoulder surgery at hospital

New Delhi: Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi who recently fell ill during the road show in Varanasi, UP and also fractured her arm went under the knife today at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. She underwent a surgery for the shoulder injury she suffered.

DS Rana, chairman of the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Board of Management in his statement said that a team of doctors comprising Sanjay Desai from Mumbai and Prateek Gupta from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is attending the Congress President.

Sonia Gandhi’s left shoulder dislocated during her rally in Varanasi.

The doctors attending Sonia said that her health is improving and that she would be shifted out of the ICU soon.

Sonia Gandhi was previously admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital.
